Easy, flexible, quick to learn. Perfect for a one shot, or short campaign. Simple enough to be easily customized. D12s are used for task resolution, but d4s and d6s are also used. The setting is left vague.

Ordure Fantasy is a simple, easy toto learn, yet suprisingly robust RPG. Best suited for pick up games, but capable of supporting a short campaign. The mechanics revolve around rolling low on a d6. Combat is quick and simple, with PCs rolling all the dice. However, for my money, what I really like are the several pages of random charts, helping to inspire adventures, monster creation, and world design. There are no rules for running nonhuman characters, but that isn't really what this game is about. There is no bestiary, but there are rules for creating monsters.

The book itself, is 19 pages, simply laid out with beautiful minimalist artwork.

At first glance, I really liked this game. I bought the PDF and liked it enough to order the print copy. I now wish I had waited until I finished reading through the game.

This is indeed Gangebusters, basicly the same as the TSR original (maybe cleaned up a little here and there) The artwork fits perfectly, the layout is clean and easy to use, and the addition of weird powers was a nice touch, though the implimentation seems a little weird to me.

My problem is this was sold as a stand alone game, and it isn't. If you don't have the original Gangebusters this game is unplayable.

I have a few other minor nitpicks, but nothing too serious.

Although they cover combat, they forgot to cover damage. On pg. 49 they mention that a .38 caliber bullet does 3d6 damage (which is incorrect), but nowhere else is there a list of weapon damage, or how to calculate damage (other than brawling)

Other than that, this game really looks promising. Fortunately I have my original TSR copy of Gangbusters, so this will ba a mostly useful addition to my collection. Once they fix this omission, this will be a 4 star review.

A Simple, smooth and versatile adaptation of the Old School rules. The setting is simple, yet well thoughtout to cover a variety of play styles. This is a game that can easily cover a Star Wars, Babylon 5, or Star Trek style game, or just as easily do Firefly, Alien or Outland. Though it is a class based system (Expert, Psychic and Warrior) the classes are well balanced and quite flexible. Backgrounds and Training packages allow for a wide diversity within a class, while keeping things manageable for the GM. Only two alien species are provided, but guidelines for developing more are included. The free version does not include the rules for AI PCs or Mechs. I was so impressed with the free version that I had to order the POD of the pay version and I was not disappointed. Great game!

The mechanics of this game were inspired by the 1980's TSR RPG Star Frontiers, but the authors of this game have found new ways to really bring the system alive. It's been simplified, streamlined and retooled for a fantasy setting. This is one of those systems you can sit down and run with little or no prep. The book itself looks good, the layout is clean and easy to read. The artwork is adequate, but not spectacular. I look forward to seeing what comes next! An excellent value for the price.

I have a love hate relationship with Bloodshadows. On one hand, I think it's a great idea, but I have never quite been satisfied with the exicution of the game.

The d6 system is vastly superior to the old Master Book system, so this new edition has that going for it. The story is a campaign in it's own right. Well paced, involved, and filled with wonderful maps!

An invaluable campaign aid! The SRD 3.5 Revised Full Bundle saves tons of time when I'm designing adventures. I can cut and paste what ever I need right into whatever adventure I'm writing.
