For beginners. I didn't care for it (it uses mostly troglodytes and a naga) but many people like it as a starting adventure!
Wish this were the color version. Anywho, a good starting module that can lead to any kind of campaign. Apparently an abridged version is included in the mis-named T1-4 Temple of Elemental Evil.
WARNING: Includes science fiction material. Based loosely on Metamorphosis Alpha and Gamma World. If you like this stuff, it'll be a real fun addition to your campaign. If you don't like sci-fi in your game; Avoid it at all costs.
Wish it were the color version. If you don't mind ultra powerful weapons leaking into your campaign, then this is the adventure for you!
Use the G, then D series, write your own ending. If you really want something "official" then get this.
Awesome module! First appearance of Yuan-Ti, Mongrlmen and others. Great if you're looking for a large campaign area!
Not entirely necessary, but does have stats for demons (!) including Orcus and Demogorgon!!!
A few important tidbits that starting characters should know. Revised weapon availability, weapon mastery, etc.. A good set to "complete" the D&D collection.
A good old classic presented in glorious full color!!!
One of my altime faves. Can bring characters from level 1 all the way up to level 7 or so if enough work is done ahead of time!
A quirky adventure that's hard to find outside this PDF. Repeats some info from Isle of Dread (see Expert Set).
A very playable & enjoyable module. See Wizards of the Coast's classic download section for a free "alternate" version!
