Really Cool and diffently worthy the money. I didn't get a chance to play it, but the information and everything is really well done and very easy to understand.

5 stars for Archangel. As a first effort by Visionary Games, this is quite impressive. The historical background information gives the work a sense of intelligence, structure, and clear context. The ample charts and system explanation provide players with abundant resources for character development, while allowing for flexibility and broad creativity. The high quality artwork and printing give the game a touch of professionalism. My previous experience with RPGs had been primarily with D&D. I had searched for Christian or biblical oriented systems, and studied WJG 'In Nomine,' among others. However, not until Archangel did I find a system that is true to biblical principles and worldview. There are other Christian and biblical oriented RPGs, but start with Archangel. The price of $15 is a bargain, that I paid for Archangel (printed book and CDR) and Spirits (CDR only) together. The Visions system is a breakthrough in the RPG world. If David Baxter and Visionary Games continue with products like this, I see them being a leader in the field.

One of the first turn offs for most people is the idea that it is set in the Biblical time frame (many gamers are somewhat spiteful of Christians for various reasons). Fear not! The game is fun and uses the Biblical source material as background and richness. For the price, I've only read it through so far and enjoyed the read. Definitely worth it -- the art alone makes me happy. Worth $9 for a mere read or two alone...
