Nice to have some flavor and setting. If your new to SR and wondered where the setting information was in the 4th edition book, this is it. By itself it is a bit lacking, It would have been nice to have at least Seatle detailed some on the core book. You don't -need- this book to run a SR game, but if your new to the setting like I am and don't have alot of experience with the past flavor and fluff that the multiply splat books for 3rd edition provided, this is a helpful source book in that aspect.
That said it almost feels like they would have prefered to move the games main setting to Hong Kong, as nice as both sections are to have, I'd much rather this have been devoted to a single city, I know what they are going for, making it a global setting but for the reason I bought the book, to help me learn about the workings of seatle and the major players in the SR universe, it was a let down.

LIKED: Does a good job of providing information flavor and otherwise that the core book lacked in so far as setting and such material goes.

DISLIKED: Wish it were more focused. Also, if you've got alot of experience with the SR setting already, this book might not be worth the money for you. I'm not sure how much of the info is new in comparison with the last book about seatle/hong kong (was there one for hong kong?) but it might not be enough to warrent a purchase if you already own that book/books.

QUALITY: Acceptable

VALUE: Satisfied
