1 with a Bullet Point: Seven Sinful Feats of Pride is just better than the rest, or maybe that is just the Prideful feat talking. Those who are prideful want to be the best, but being treated as the best will be a close second, and their feats allow them to gain additional bonuses when they succeed magnificently and when others fail (though some cause penalties if the prideful fails to succeed which is a nice touch) .It concludes with a brief discussion of the role of sinful feats in a game as they are not just for evil characters. These feats are ones I can easily see being taken by player characters, many of whom have inflated ideas of their own self-importance, why not reflect that with an appropriate feat?

This pdf is 4 pages long, 1 page front cover, 1 page SRD, leaving us with 2 pages of content for 7 pride-themed feats, so let's take a look, shall we?

-Better than Anyone: If you make an opposed skill-check and know who you're checking against (i.e. are aware of a foe to best), you gain a +3 bonus - untyped! NEAT! One of my characters had this quirk as fluffy roleplaying prior to release of this pdf and NEVER failed an opposed skill-check in his career. Cool concept with solid rules - I just wish said character could benefit from it still...

-Drive to Succeed: I might have this feat irl. ;) 1/day, you may reroll a failed skill-check, ability check or attack roll. If you fail on the reroll as well, you incur a -2 penalty to the type of check for 12 hours. Gold!

-I can't allow that: When correctly identifying a spell-like ability or supernatural ability being used, you may use dispel magic as a counterspell against them. AWESOME!

-I don't need you: When an adjacent ally is dropped to below 0 HP, you gain 1d8 + 1/2 your level temporary HP for as long as the ally remains down. Does not stack. WIN.

-Joys of Adulation: Treat a morale bonus you get as 1 higher. Only works on one of them if you benefit from multiple ones. Again, neat!

-Prideful: When you roll a natural 20 or a foe rolls a natural 1 on a check opposed to you, you may gain a +1 bonus to either ability or skill-check tied to Str, Dex or Cha, caster-level or weapon damage. You may only benefit from one such bonus. My favorite of the basic sinful feats released so far.

-That Power should be Mine!: 3/day when counterspelling successfully a spell, you gain the power to cast that spell yourself if you have a free appropriate spell-slot and the spell may not be of a higher level than 1/2 your character level.

The pdf also includes the description of the [sinful] feat-type.

Conclusion: Editing and formatting are top-notch, I didn't notice any glitches. Layout adheres to SGG's 3-column standard and the pdf has no bookmarks, but needs none at this length. This pdf is a prime example why Owen K.C. Stephens is considered the design-legend he is: High concept, clever, properly phrased feats that allow iconic, cool things and combine rules-savvy presentation with concepts that make you want to use the feats asap. So far the best sinful-feat-BP and a flawless, easily given 5 stars + seal of approval.

Endzeitgeist out.
