Baptism of Fire 2
by Stephen Y. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 09/06/2016 04:18:27

At 160 pages, 157 are the content. The Table of Contents are 3 pages long (which does cover a lot). All b&w with WW2 pictures throughout.

QRS (Quick Reference Sheets) and templates are at the back. The system uses d6's. It also uses commmand ranges (standard and maximum), based on leader type.

At £1.88/$2.51, it's worth looking at (quite detailed).

Sands of Blood, Sweat and Tears
by Bob B. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 08/15/2015 06:25:11

i do not use either of the 2 rules sets that this supplement was written to accompany, but I purchased it for the information it contains. I use the OOB for the early Japanese and early Marines for wargames with a different set of rules. However the info gave me a structure that suited my games. Lots of very useful information. Well worth buying - even better value if you use the rules they are designed to go with

A Leader of Men
by mark b. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 05/03/2014 06:00:36

Have not played a match yet but the focus on moral and the leadership of the units is interesting. Also his interest in recreating the chaos of real life (combat or otherwise) has pedagogical elements to it which may be useful in building ones character.

Hoovers Gap: An ACW battle study and scenario
by Lowell D. H. [Verified Purchaser] Date Added: 11/18/2011 12:36:57

The author says he read extensively on the subject but did not provide a bibliography for readers who might want to read further.

The article itself could have used an editor to proof the text and make it clearer and better organized and a graphic artist to make the format more pleasing and professional looking.

That being said, I think the value to cost is good. I look forward to other ACW scenarios with the mentioned improvements.

Best, Lowell D. Hamilton
