Hi!

A suggestion, instead of using basic walls only, use terrain walls. this way players will be able to see the design of the walls and obstacles.

I am open to this sort of suggestion in general. I will take another look at if there's a way to draw out the walls. The Hole in the Oak is particularly tricky.

Hi Anthony. We were playing through some of Hole in the Oak last night and I noticed that there was some walls missing from the eastern end of the Mutagenic Ogre lair...Fortunately my players had already explored the areas to the east so it didn't reveal anything and I just added my own walls real quick, but if you haven't fixed that already you might want to take a look.

Hi Robert, I realize that this was posted in July, but you may have been playing with an older version of the adventure. In order to "fully" update an adventure you have already imported, you will first update the module like you usually do, and then you navigate to the adventure directory, click on The Hole in the Oak adventure, and click import (by default, this will overwrite any changes you made to your previously imported adventure).

How are we supposed to interpret the area descriptions?

The map is unlabeled, and there is no key to be able to relate area numbers to locations.

My expectation for a paid VTT module would be journal notes on the map for each section, but without a key this module is unusable.

Hi there Alex, I'm the Foundry VTT Content developer. Thanks to feedback like yours, I've updated The Hole in the Oak for Foundry VTT to now include map notes linking back to each of the 60 area descriptions. You are looking for version 1.0.4.

The rest of the modules will be receiving their own "map notes" updates throughout next week.

Please separate the Area Descriptions section and place these Journal Entries on the map to make them into Map Notes.
The visual Map Note is literally the only reason I purchased this module.:)

Is there plans for further updates? Fixing journal entries, tables, and various typos?

Hi Scott, this is the VTT content developer. There are still some known issues that require one more update for The Hole in the Oak specifically. There may even be a content refresh when a user makes a suggestion that I hadn't thought of myself.

I've made a commitment elsewhere saying, essentially, "if a specific improvement would mean five stars from you, I'll either say yes, or follow up with you personally to ask how to help serve your need if the change can't be made."

To make sure your issue/suggestion gets looked at, email customersupport@vtt.red, or any of our support channels, and we'll figure it out.

Would have been nice to see these modules a little more setup. Everything is available, but I had to manually setup walls, set journal map notes, ect

We spoke with the developer and apparently there was a slight bug in Hole in the Oak that made the walls and lights not display properly. It's been fixed now. You should be able to download v1.0.1.

Looks like there might still be some doors missing (such as the one between areas 33 and 34. Also, I own the PDF so it is only a minor inconvenience for me, but it would be nice to have area numbers on the map or some other way for the DM to easily link where the PCs are and area descriptions.

Hi there Robert, I'm the Foundry VTT Content developer. I'm monitoring all new discussions on DriveThru, but I believe I missed yours due to it being a reply? Sorry about that! I encourage just making a new discussion rather than hitting the reply button so that we don't bother Gavin and Gavin with our reply chain :)

Regarding the door between areas 33 and 34: I don't recall whether this could have been fixed in a previous update, but it is currently correct as of 1.0.4. If you're still unsure about some of the content feel free to reach out via email as well: customersupport@vtt.red

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
