Science Fiction Spaceships<o:p></o:p>

GM: ...Since this is a low profile mission, you will be issued...<o:p></o:p>

PLAYERS (In unison): A Standard Freighter.<o:p></o:p>

GM: Is there something wrong with a Standard Freighter.<o:p></o:p>

PLAYER 1: No there’s nothing wrong with a Standard Freighter...for a merchant campaign. But we also used a Standard Freighter for our Interplanetary Marines campaign; and the Med Evac Team campaign. What? Is Standard Freighter, the only set of deck plans in the rules book?<o:p></o:p>

(GM winces)<o:p></o:p>

PLAYER 2: Since we’re being asked to run the Doom Force blockade, why don’t they give us a ship fast enough to actually have a chance?<o:p></o:p>

PLAYER 3: Don’t worry guys. I have the situation under control. Remember at the end of the last campaign, I explicitly said that my character carved his initials into the docking hatch, so that if anyone tried to stick us with the same ship again, we’d know the kind of abuse it’s taken.<o:p></o:p>

GM (Groans): We’ve been through this. How would your new character know what those initials mean.<o:p></o:p>

PLAYER 3: So there are initials?!<o:p></o:p>

GM: I didn’t say that!<o:p></o:p>

PLAYER 3: I take a really good look at the docking hatch. Is there a shiny patch, like someone sanded out the initials?<o:p></o:p>

(Thump, thump, thump, gurgle, gurgle)* * Sound of GM beating PLAYER 3’s head on the table while strangling him.<o:p></o:p>

-------------------------------------------------------<o:p></o:p>

Every party of outer space adventurers is distinct, and their ships should be also. Science Fiction Spaceships presents the game statistic for six ships: the Assault Lander for groups which prefer fighting over talking; the sleek and stylish Comet; the Fighter Carrier to keep the space-fighters in flying condition; the Hospitar Field ship to deal with outbreaks and medical emergencies; and the Robot Remuda for asteroid mining. Don’t worry, we didn’t forget to include the classic Light Freighter.<o:p></o:p>

These ships are more than just a pile of statistics, they are designed to function as the group’s transportation, forward base of operations and their home. Since the characters will spend so much time on these spaceships, deck plans are included.<o:p></o:p>

The rules are compatible with any Science Fiction D20 game. But the basic rules and statistics are explained so that this product can be used with any D20 game.<o:p></o:p>

Buy Science Fiction Spaceships today, because no one expects to be PLAYER 3 until it is too late.<o:p></o:p>

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
