THE LARGEST ADVENTURE FOR FG2 USING 4TH EDITION

This is the D&D 4th Edition Rules version of this award winning game.

"A Small Task for Appleview" is a product written for use on the Virtual Table Top (VTT) networking software named Fantasy Grounds II (obtained separately; see www.fantasygrounds.com).

This adventure is fully compatible with the new Fantasy Grounds II release 2.2.0, as well as the latest 4th edition look-and-feel controls "4E_JPG" version 1.1.2.

Via this networking software you, as DM, can run one of the most memorable epic campaigns for your friends no matter where in the world they are.

This is the largest adventure ever written for a VTT networking environment! You will find more than 150 story chapters and over 260 images and maps—all tied together by an overarching mystery adventure.

You and your players will battle unique monsters, explore huge dangerous structures, find hoards of treasure, discover mysterious never-before-seen magical items, and gain lots of experience. Start your players at level 1 and by the end you will take them up to rarified levels no matter what rules set you use.

If you prefer to play single- or double-session adventures, using a little DM/GM imagination you can slip into any of the campaign's 12 major parts singly.

Included free is a PDF-format manual for DM/GMs who are new to the Fantasy Grounds friends-connecting environment. This manual takes you step-by-step through the process of how to install and play the "Appleview" adventure.

Whether played as an epic campaign or as 12 individual all-original adventures, "A Small Task For Appleview" gives you many months of gaming full of surprises and the most important thing of all: fun!

This product relies on prior installation of the free public-domain FGII Rules Set called 4E_JPG, of release 1.0.2 or later on the Server. Players of this game must still purchase D&D 4th Edition Core Rulebooks to play this game; go to www.wizards.com.

NOTE: Send us a query at rulesset@dw-publications.com if you need assistance in obtaining and installing the latest free 4E_JPG rules set.

When I was new to FG2 and D&D4e, the idea of an ready made adventure module appealed to me and there weren't many options. This product however isn't worth the money. The adventure is strictly a railroad affair. There's even a part where the PCs ar [...]

I have to agree with the first reviewer...I think I will find this product most useful as a template on how to build your own campaign for FGII. The overall product just felt a little too amateurish compared to much of the other independently published [...]

God, i can't believe that other reviewer only giving this adventure module 2 stars. I'm in a all-female playing group in NYC. The five of us played the entire game. We're all IT people, so we at least have some brains. We alternatley laughed at the pun [...]

Wow... what can I say. I was really looking forward to a good 4e adventure for FG2. Regretfully, this isn't it. Why? Maybe it's my aversion to bad character names, especially ones stolen directly from movies and tv shows. The banker? Young Mr Grace (Ar [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
