Aether is a game for creative people who like adventure, grit, and simple rules.

A pair of ten-sided dice, a couple pencils, and a few sheets of paper are all you need - along with this book, of course!

The core mechanic is d100-based, with lethal combat and a tiered skill system. We designed Aether first to serve the modern noir setting of Wellstone City included in the book. Yet, it can work for almost any setting and any time. Rules for random setting generation help players make their own settings.

A short adventure set in Wellstone City helps set the tone and gives you a jumping-off point to a harrowing campaign.

Just received my softcover, very nice! However, I notice that it's different from the PDF - different cover, some different art and organization inside, more pages (and different pagination, of course). I suspect the PDF was simply never updated. (Ah, I'm seeing now: the softcover is the "second printing"; the PDF is not.) Any chance of getting that PDF updated? Thanks in advance!

You probably know that already, but the Second Printing PDF seems to be now available for download alongside the first printing. Oddly, SGG 7002 is the first printing, while SGG 7001 is the second printing.

Ces livres électroniques ont été créés physiquement en scannant les originaux et en utilisant les images obtenues pour faire les pages pdf. Chaque page est passée par un programme de reconnaissance optique ces caractères (OCR) afin d'essayer de déchiffrer le texte imprimé. Le résultat de ce procédé OCR est situé de manière invisible derrière l'image de chaque page scannée, pour permettre d'utiliser des recherches de texte. Cependant, un texte dans un livre donné sur un fond graphique ou avec des fontes manuelles ne sera probablement pas reconnu par le programme OCR, et ne sera donc pas pris en compte dans les recherches. Aussi certains livres imposants peuvent être redimensionnés pour correspondre au système, et peuvent ne pas avoir cette fonctionnalité de recherche de texte. La plupart des livres les plus vieux et en rupture d'impression sont dans le format images scannées.

Format électronique original
Ces livres électroniques ont été créé à partir des versions électroniques, et permettent donc d'utiliser pleinement la fonction recherche. De plus, la taille de leur fichier tend à être plus petite que celle des livres scannés. La plupart des livres récents sont dans le format électronique original.
