Are you fond of liches? Think they're cool? Think that it sucks that it's impractical for your character to be one in your d20 fantasy game?

With a +4 level adjustment, the core rules lich template is out of the question for most players.  Besides the compulsory evil alignment and the visage of death, lich characters have to deal both with immense costs in gold and large experience penalties.

Enter the Lich Ascendant, a prestige class for dark mages and clerics who crave immortality and magical power!

The lich ascendant is a devotee of the dark arts who seeks immortality through lichdom by slowly transforming himself into one!

• A d20 fantasy prestige class geared towards arcane and divine spellcasters who use their powers to attain a form of immortality.

• Introduces the lich template slowly through a 10-level progression that not only grants the powers of the lich, but also allows class progression in attacks, saves, skills and feats.
