Three Storytelling Adventure System adventures in one package: Chicago Workings (for the World of Darkness), The Resurrectionists (for Vampire: The Requiem) and Parlor Games (for Werewolf: The Forsaken) for a discounted price.

Includes these three products:

Chicago Workings (World of Darkness)

To Frankie that quarter-moon sky looked darker and all the iron apparatus of the El taller than ever. The artificial tenement light sweeping across the tracks made even the snow seem artificial, like snow off a dime-store counter. Only the rails seemed real, and to move a bit with terrible intent. — Nelson Algren, The Man With The Golden Arm

When a new neighbor moves into the characters' neighborhood, they become the final hinge in a fifty-year-old secret struggle between the ghosts of two Chicago geomancers. The fate of their occult conflict is in the characters' hands.

"Chicago Workings" is a complete supernatural thriller story for your World of Darkness chronicle including a frank how-to guide to playing out this story with your gaming group, using the game rules in the World of Darkness Rulebook.

The Ressurectionists (Vampire: The Requiem)

The Resurrection Man — to use a byname of the period — was not to be deterred by any of the sanctities of customary piety. It was part of his trade to despise and desecrate the scrolls and trumpets of old tombs, the paths worn by the feet of worshippers and mourners, and the offerings and the inscriptions of bereaved affection. To rustic neighbourhoods, where love is more than commonly tenacious, and where some bonds of blood or fellowship unite the entire society of a parish, the body-snatcher, far from being repelled by natural respect, was attracted by the ease and safety of the task. To bodies that had been laid in earth, in joyful expectation of a far different awakening, there came that hasty, lamp-lit, terror-haunted resurrection of the spade and mattock. — Robert Louis Stevenson, "The Body-Snatcher"

They say an infamous old vampire is buried in an overgrown old cemetery outside the city. This nefarious bloodsucker was some kind of cult leader back in his nights. Stole mystic secrets from the Sanctified and the Acolytes alike and eventually went into hiding — in torpor — back in the '30s or '40s. But his hiding spot was lost, even by his own cult... until tonight.

You've got the only known clues to his whereabouts, a sealed box containing some thing of his that'll supposedly wake him up, and one night to find his grave, dig him up and bring him back to the city. Get to it. Tonight, you're the Resurrectionists.

Parlor Games (Werewolf: The Forsaken)

"If you ain't just a little scared when you enter a casino, you are either very rich or you haven't studied the games enough." — Terrence "VP Pappy" Murphy

There are things in this world that come from somewhere else. Hungry things. They scrabble in the dark places, reaching out to draw in prey. Sometimes it's human prey. Sometimes it's the People.

One of those things is reaching out even further now. It's built its nest somewhere unreachable. It's subtle and cunning, enough so to hide its own strength. And it is strong, and it is dangerous. But it made a mistake. It began to hunt on your territory. It started to take people that are under your protection.

Now it's time for you to do the hunting.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
