Hi Alex,

I bought the bundle and love the artwork! Is there a guide to help noob consumers start piecing together their own isometric maps?

Hi Alex,

First of all I gotta say I love the artwork. I just began working with roll20 and I thought these maps would be a perfect addon for my new campaign. Now when I drag random map parts into roll20 (directly from my pc folder) they come out really small. I can't seem to figure out the scale/grid system. Can you help me with this?

Hello Nick, Ok here is what I use for page setup

set page size to 100 x 100 units

set unit size to 3ft per unit

Hide grid

I drop a blank background into the map layer, then build in the token layer, I start building in the top left and work my way down. Once I get a good layout i drop everything into the map layer. if parts appear to vanish select the background layer right click and send to back.

here is an example of it all working for you to check out

Hey Alex,

Thank you for the response. I've tried the above and the following happens. I set the page size to 100 x 100 units and unit size to 3 ft. per unit. I dropped the BLANK_Dungeonmap in the map & background layer and adjusted it so it fits the whole page. I uploaded the images from my hard drive into Roll20. I drag and drop map elements in the token layer unto the field. I kept it simple and made a small 'dungeon layout'. Right off the bat I noticed the elements don't fit perfectly together and some are way bigger than the rest. Afterwards I select everything and move the elements to the map/background layer. The end result is that I have multiple rooms with different sizes (Which I dont think is intended). Do I need to adjust every element that it fits seamless to the element it sits next to? If so that's way more work than I thought this would be.

Maybe I am doing something terribly wrong, but I tried comparing it to the map where you've linked me in and it's just totally...See more

Hi Alex,

I'm assuming that the Bundle's "classic" = "core"? i.e. There are only two sets available at the moment.

Absolutely beautiful work btw! I'm a roll20 DM as well and this looks as if it would be loads of fun to use...

Hi Alex, I'm very interested in your work because i love to play with isometric maps. I just wonder something: when someone bought it is it just a .zip we can download or we will also receive something delivered by mail?

Either way, congrats for your work!

It is a .zip file that you can download. Contains all the digital assets in easy to use formats for digital tabletops or other graphic software.

Thanks for your quick answer. Indeed I play RPG's most of the time on computer with Roll20, so I think I'll buy it.
Last question ^^' : do you think it's possible to print all your maps in a high print quality at a printing shop ?

Thank you for your work which is really amazing and I hope you will make some more in that way :-D

I just bought your bundle and love it! The art is amazing and the old school vibe is pretty cool. But I will appreciate some kind of tutorial/info file to use with Roll20 (like fog of war, the sizes, the grid, etc.)

Congrats for an excellent product!

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
