100 Oddities for a Graveyard

Welcome to 100 Oddities for a Graveyard, the fourth entry in Skirmisher Publishing’s popular "Oddities" series!

As roleplaying locales go, graveyards are classic, and can play a part in just about any type of game. As long as adventurers venture and people die, there will be graveyards. Fantasy, historical, urban, modern, horror, and even sci-fi or post-apocalyptic games can all benefit from the occasional introduction of a graveyard — and we have the Oddities to help you “flesh” them out.

Oddities are intended to aid GM creativity, turning possibly bland areas or gaming episodes into something more, and the goal of this publication is to make things more fun and to take your imagination in directions it might not otherwise have gone. They fill in the corners of a bookshelf, a room, a level, a scenario, with all the sorts of things that add interest but take loads of time to come up with.

Volumes in this popular and bestselling series include 100 Oddities for a Chaotic Mutation100 Oddities for a Creepy Old House100 Oddities for a Dungeon100 Oddities for a Found Car100 Oddities for an Enchanted Forest100 Oddities for an Egyptian Tomb100 Oddities for a Graveyard100 Oddities for a Pilgrimage Trail100 Oddities for a Sewer100 Oddities for a Thieves’ Guild100 Oddities for a Treasure Horde100 Oddities for a Viking Encounter100 Oddities for a Wasteland100 Oddities for a Wizard’s Library, and 100 Oddities for a Wizard’s Tower

~ TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG) ~

Be sure to check out Skirmisher Publishing's popular and Platinum-bestselling TSRPG (Travel-Sized RPG)! This rules-light storytelling game can easily be played anywhere, from the airport waiting area you are stuck in, to the overnight in some hotel where there is nothing to do (and also, of course, in your own home). All the basic rules fit on one page; no dice are needed; characters have just two stats; and any bookkeeping that might be required can be done on a cocktail napkin with a pen borrowed from a waiter. TSRPG is fully supported with sourcebooks that include "Arms, Armor & More," "Wands, Wagons, Whips & More," and "OS-TSRPG," along with 10 compelling scenarios, "A Long Way to the Top," "Beating Around the Bush," "A Midsummer Night's Scheme," "On the Plane of Magma," "A Violet Shade of Death," "A Rose for Erato," "Into the Terrorium," "Whiskey in the Jar," "Krampusnacht: Night of the Krampus!," and "Temple of the Banished Suns," all of which include pregenerated characters and the basic rules for the game, allowing them to function as quick-starts for it. We have also had TSRPG translated into a number of other languages, including German (along with three adventures, „Eine Rose für Erato,“ „Auf der Ebene des Magmas,“ and „Tempel der Verbannten Sonnen,“ along with the „OS-TSRPG" supplement), Spanish (along with four adventures, "Una Rosa Para Erato," "Un Tono Violeta de Muerte," ""¡El Plan de Una Noche de Verano"," and "En el Plano de Magma" and the "Armas, Armaduras y Más" and "Varitas, Vagones, Látigos y Más!" supplements), and Ukrainian

It's really cool to see how well people are responding to this PDF! What environment would you like to see Oddities cover next? Dungeons? Workshops? Temples? Battlefields?

Some ideas (No particular order for import...): a Shopping Malls, Hospitals, Hotels, Schools, Airports, Subways, Bus Stations, Trailer Parks, Parks, Military Bases. I know these are modern in nature, but they would be of great use to many players.

Thanks....

I like the idea of oddities for a shopping mall, trailer park, and parks in general.

100 Oddities for a Church/Temple/Cathedral would be useful in my modern horror campaign. Also one for college campuses.

We're planning one for a temple. With any luck it will be out this time next year.

We have done a shopping mall, albeit with something of a post-apocalyptic feel. We hope to release it among the next few.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
