This is a newer edition of the Super Powers Companion from the original. It’s a comprehensive update of the original with significant new material. Soon after it debuts, we’ll have a free list of the most important changes for owners of the original edition.

The Super Powers Companion requires the Savage Worlds core rules to play.

Hi! We launched the new edition on our website, www.peginc.com. We just released the "alpha" (as of 10/19/2021) and are gathering feedback for a couple of weeks before we put it up for sale here on DTRPG and send it to the printer. I'll update the descriptive text above to reflect that this is the Explorer's Edition version.

Hi Shane, just to be clear, is the new SWADE edition replacing this one (ie. a purchase here will update to the SWADE version) or should we be hoarding our dollars for the new (separate) version?

It's an all new edition, I'm afraid. This one will remain for those who want to stick with the previous edition of Savage Worlds.

I got an email saying the pdf for the book is ready for download but it's a pdf for the core rule book, am I missing something?

Had this been updated for SWADE yet? I have the Deluxe version as a hard copy and it clashes quite a bit with SWADE.

Update: While the basics are the same, the changes are substantial...about like Savage Worlds Deluxe to SWADE.

So basically if I only have this version and want to run a superhero game with SWADE, this version is useless? Or can it still work fine with just one or two minor tweaks?

SWADE really just adds a few extra rules you can tack on to anything (Test and Support), so absolutely. You'll have to wing a few things here and there, but honestly, everything we've *ever* made is easy to run with the current edition...from our book (Evernight) on.

I like this book but I thinks there is missing powers who appears frequently in comics like space flight, regeneration from death, time travel, dimensional travel.

And there is no rules to create powers so I don't know how much power points would cost these powers. There will be a supplement book for powers ?

My biggest issue with the previous edition and NE was the big dice pools and exploding die values would make some challenges either too easy or bizarre. Has there been any rebalancing of the math behind how powers work?

You took the words out of my mouth. Really wanted to like NE, but ranged was a crazy unbalanced powerhouse compared to melee. 1 blaster could dish out tons more damage than a player made "Hulk" could.
