100 Dungeons

Watermarked PDF

Got 99 problems? Make sure that finding your next dungeon for tonight's game isn't one!

100 Dungeons is a finely crafted list of mostly historically accurate and verisimilitudinous dungeons collected by our semi-professional spelunkers. Perfect for your next adventure. No boring tombs or the same goblin den you've seen a million times!

A sample of what you might find:

28. The Icy Battlefield: A battle between two armies of giants that has been quite literally frozen in place. Over the centuries lesser creatures have carved out lairs and suchlike within the tangled mass of dead, icy soldiers, claiming whatever equipment they could reach for their own use.

59. The Haunted Stadium: A burned out long abandoned stadium of blood sport, under which lie tunnels of blood drains, sawdust, kennels for slaves and animals both and many ancient secrets. And when night comes, the games are reenacted, including any unfortunates who are trapped within at the time. Those who die join the gladiators forever.

88. Giant Mechanical Spider: It is a giant mechanical spider. It may be currently immobile, but there is no way you’re not going to explore this thing.

This product is system and genre agnostic, so feel free to use to make adventures for your fantasy PCs, to name your tanks in any number of popular war games set in the far future, to add some realism to your virtual reality simulator adventures, or just to spark your own imagination!

The Good: Decent for writer's block, or the need to whip up an on the spot session. The Bad: Pretty bare bones, and you could just as likely find inspiration on Google. Conclusion: Decent I suppose, but I'd get it on sale, even at this pr [...]

100 Dungeons is full of little nuggets to fire your neurons. Am I going to use these ideas as written? Maybe. The real value is in the ability of this list to send your imagination off in a random direction or to help an idea resurface from the depths [...]

When it comes to fantasy, I feel like the mindset of the dungeon adventure should really expand and take an imaginative leap beyond the desolate underground. This list completely delivers on its promise and on that imaginative flavor. The product conta [...]

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
