Johnson's Rock is a planet in the Signus system and is rich in heavy minerals and industrial gemstones. The Olepak Corporation sponsored the first colonization efforts in an attempt to exploit the natural resources of Johnson's Rock. Olepak invested heavily in infrastructure and tranportation costs for miners and their familes to relocate to Johnson's Rock. In the past two hundred years the Olepak Corporation has steadily erroded the pay and rights of the workers in order to maximize profits and increase mining quotas to fulfill increasing demand for raw materials, especially metals and industrial grade diamonds. The workers have endured a stagnation in pay and an increase in workhours to the point where the average worker works 70+ hours a week in horrific conditions. Olepak Corporation has also instituted a company store policy and most miners are indebted to the Olepak Corporation for the next decade just to put food on the table and a roof over their families heads. Mining on Johnson's Rock is extraordinarily hazardous and miners have a 10% death rate per year. The mining families are trapped on world and sons an daughters with no other options hire on with the Olepak Corporation as miners or support staff. In the last few months miners have begun protesting their treatment and many mines have temporarily shut down due to strikes by miners. The Olepak Corporation hired thugs to break the strikes and more than a few arms as well. A few ringleaders for the miner's groups have been found murdered or dead in a mine shaft and no one has been charged with the crimes. In the wake of the deaths, the various mining groups have hired the Thunderbolt Division with the promise of a percenage of the profits if the miner's take over operations themselves. The Olepak Corporation in turn has hired the Regiment to squash the rebellion and push the Thunderbolt Division off planet.

This PDF provides a complete campaign of 12 linked scenarios for both Stargrunt II and Dirtside II. It also proveds stats for Thunderbolt Division vehicles used in the scenarios.

I have no idea if Matt, the author is still around since there have been no releases since 2015, but I just read his terrible response to one of his customer's reviews. I was just about to purchase the entire line of The Regiment Series. I'm glad I read the review first. How shameful it is to berate someone who spent their money on your product that they find mediocre is unacceptable. It's their right to criticize your work as soon as you put it out there, as it is your right to attack them for doing it. But it is my right as one of your customers and a patron of this site to no longer purchase another one of your products and to inform everyone of how you treat your customers. I guess you will attack me now if you are still around.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
