Watermarked PDF

The continuation of the mysterious mushroom related deaths by Chad Anderson.

Mushroom Murders part 4: Desperate Measures in War Time

In the penultimate chapter of the Mushroom Murders, Chanterelle, one of the deadliest killers, targets Detective Sterling Silversmith as he scrambles to find answers before he is reduced to a pile of ash! All of your questions are answered and all the mysteries as solved as we build to the shocking and powerful conclusion. By Chad Anderson (writer), Robert Keough (penciler), Jeff Coney (inker), Rachel Morris (colorist), and Gabe Strine (letterer).

Overview: Delaware City was a peaceful little port town until its citizens started getting slaughtered! At the scene of each crime, all that is left is a small pile of ash and one creepy little mushroom. The police bring in two expendable detectives, Sterling Silversmith and Emerald Johnson, who are in way over their heads as they try to stop any more deaths! With ancient mysteries, demons hungering for human flesh, and an unexpected love story, the Mushroom Murders takes everything creepy and mystic about mushrooms and explodes it into an original, fast-paced, and character-driven five-issue limited series! Produced by Creator's Edge Press, written by Chad Anderson (Marvel Comics Handbook writer) and penciled by talented cartoonist Robert Keough, the Mushroom Murders is a surefire hit with surprises in store with every turn of the page!

Praise for the first installment:

“The Mushroom Murders is a fresh take on the police procedural that’s part CSI, part Twilight Zone, and part crash course in fungiculture. The first installment is a solid set-up issue, with an intriguing twist in the final pages that few will see coming.” –Anthony Flamini, Marvel Comics writer (Dark Tower: Omnibus, Planet Hulk Gladiator Guidebook)

“An intriguing mystery! I'm curious to see where this goes."—Fred Van Lente, Marvel Comics writer (Herc, Alpha Flight, Marvel Zombies)

“The Mushroom Murders #1 introduces what is certainly one of the strangest premises I've ever encountered in comics. But it works because writer Chad Anderson stays true to his own story. I have absolutely no idea where this is going to go next, which means I have to read the next issue!” –Chad Boudreau, writer (Acts of Violence, the Grim Collection)

Special thanks for financial contributions: Ross Jenkins, Jim Mohr, Mark O'English, Erin & Jake Foerg, Christian Harrison, Chip & Katie Moore, Robert Simon, Kimberly Porter, Ryan & Bryanne Duffin, and Susan Anderson.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
