The Gamemaster's Monster Memoir is designed as a journal for you to catalogue all the various beasts and monstrosities you've designed for your world. Each chapter offers various blank forms and documents to help detail all the information you need for your games.

Chapter 1 - Legendary Monsters: Here you will find those major monsters of your campaign. World serpents, demigods and giant kings, dragons, and liches. You have plenty of room for details, stats, and of course their lairs.

Chapter 2 - Standard Monsters: These forms are single page documents that should give you plenty of room to include all the stats and details needed for most common creatures, the format often found in most bestiaries.

Chapter 3 - Monster Collection: These forms are for you to quickly document creatures you have included in your campaign from various published materials. You can list the name, book the creature is located in, page number, and notes.

Chapter 4 - Monster Documents: The final chapter includes various forms you will nd useful when dealing with creatures. These include documents for creating site-based encounters, customised random encounter charts, and some hex and square maps for your use.

PDF Version: This version is 15 pages long  and includes a single copy of each form with no background and minimalistic design. Perfect for printing out as many copies as you want and including them in your own compilation.

PDF Version 2: This version includes the 262-page version of the print book.

Form-fillable files: Zip folder including each form as an individual pdf and form-fillable.

This product is systemless and perfect for any gamemaster or worldbuilder.

I baught this yesterday, together with the Worldbuilding Journal and Allies and Adversaries. When i try to use the form-fillable sheets they don´t work properly. When I try to put an image into the monstersheet for example, it does not appear at all. There is just a grey box, and the box stays grey. It doesnt matter what kind of picture i use. I tried PNG,JPEG,BMP and TIFF. Nothing works. Next thing is when I fill in text, the text is not in the right position. It is not in line and it does not look good. And its not only in the Monster memoir it is the same in the form-fillable of the Worldbuilding Journal and "Allies and Adversaries" as well. Can someone help?

I have several of your products in this line and I enjoy them very much. There are two more products that I don't see yet. One would be spell books both player and a DM master list book of custom spells. The second would be be shopping catalog for character/store encounters. Do you have any plans on making these?

Spellbook is planned and already started on, I just need to finish it up. The shopping catalog is an interesting idea. We recently talked about treasure cards that the GM could hand to players, but the printed cards are glossy and make it difficult to write on - and then we were thinking of a possible stationary type product, but are still working on that. The catalog is interesting, and I hadn't thought of it. How do you envision it? Like a book broken up by type of goods and then master charts that can be filled in? Or something more like individual store/merchant sections with lists of goods?

I envision two items here. One is like the old aurora's whole realms catalogue where the DM can click a box and load an image and then fill in a form for the item's data. If items have 3 or 4 listing sizes to pick from that would be good. The database would contain 100% of the item data and imagery but the DM would click boxes to select which data enters which field on each page. This way an individual store front can be made for each adventure as needed without having to re-write everything every time. One of the options should include lists of goods available at the store the DM is building. To make the complete hat trick there should be randomizing options to quick make stores, travelling merchants, gypsy wagons, etc. Heck I'll pay you now for one!

Just downloaded the PDF form-fillable portion and for some reason the Creature Illustration portion remains greyed-out when I attempt to add an image to it. TIF, JPG, JPEG, GIF, PNG...they all do the same thing for some reason. Is there some trick to getting this to function?

Nevermind, I found it. If anyone else has this issue, I had to go into the PDF and edit the properties of the form. If you have this option using Adobe Acrobat Standard (or another version that is NOT Reader), then you can edit the properties of the field. In the button properties of the field in-question, I just went into the Options Tab and found the Layout setup was "Label Only." I changed this to "Icon Only" for my purposes. Now my pictures are starting to show up just fine.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
