HOw does the game handle super powers that are tied to devices (like Arrowette's Bow) What happens if an enemy disarms her?

Could someone answer a few quick questions about this game?

1. How flexible is the power system? Is there any kind of stunt ability?
2. How does the game handle things like vehicles and vehicle combat?
3. How does movement work? Is there any way to use minis and a battlemat with this game? Either grid based, or even just Fate style zones or something?

Turns out, I already purchased the PDF. Any chance of a discount on the print book?

What power level are heroes generally? For example, if you create a super strong character, how much can they lift? How fast can speedsters/fliers get? Can these supers take on tanks and jets or are they more 'street' level heroes?

I am wondering how hard this game would be for kids. Do you have an age recommendation for it?

Hi,

I think it depends on whether they are going to be playing on their own or with an adult to start with. All the OneDice games are very simple, so I'd say 10+ on their own, but obviously it varies from kid to kid. With an adult, if the child is interested, it would be an ideal entry game for a younger child, I know parents who run it for their 8 year olds (because it really is mostly roll a D6 and hit a Target Number) - if they can add 1D6+ a number between 1-6, they can pretty much do the math! Of course some older children don't have the attention span for RPGs. I hope that helps :)

Whoa! Is it a coincidence or the intro has been really signed by S. John Ross, the author of Risus The Anything RPG?!? :D

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
